Wow, it's been a very loooonng time since I have even bothered to write a journal entry.
Maybe it's because my life isn't all that interesting that I should be writing about everything that goes on in it.
That and I kind of believe that no one even reads it, but hey, there's always a first for everything.
So anyways, what's been happening in my life... Hmm, not a whole lot.
Computer problems: (No surprise there)
My computer broke down again, and would you believe that it was a month over 3 years?
I think HP actually installs some kind of device that will murder your computer after 3 years of service, and there isn't really any point in saving it.
But if your an idiot like me, you have some important files on that fried computer that you would like to get back, but you didn't think to plug in the external hard-drive that you figured would be a good idea for such an occurance... *bashes head on desk*
(You would think that I would have learned from my previous hard-drive problems, that you should always, ALWAYS back up your data.)
But I was smart! I figured I could take it to a computer shop so they could rip my data from what was left of the hard-drive, then I thought "Hey this computer is still in fairly good shape lets get a whole new hard-drive installed!"
Oh, my naive optimism... Turns out it wasn't that simple, turns out that not only was my hard-drive fried but my motherboard was toasted. So you know what that meant? "TOWER SHOPPING!" Pfffttt... I hate doing that, more in particular when the people that work at the places completely ignore you. (I may be short, but come on now I'm not invisible!) But I am a resourceful little person I will just grab what I need and be on my merry way. Funny part is after I get to the till, they ask me if anyone helped me... Seriously? (I stood around for 15mins waiting for someone to help me out, and they clearly saw me waiting there, but decided it was more important to check the messages on their phones.) But no I stood there smiled and said "Nope" and then after I forked over the buttload of cash for the stupid tower they asked me if I needed help carring it to my car. *Sigh* Honestly I thought, "I did everything else myself, I'm almost completely sure I can get to my car."
Ugh, sometimes stupid things happen for no reason at all.
The Car (2012 Honda Civic)
Kay for this one I have a love/hate relationship with my car, so I will list the things I like about it first:
It's great on gas, I fuel up once a month
It's sexy as hell!
It has command start
It has a USB adaptor so I can plug in my iPod
It's bigger then my old car
The heaters work
It's a 2012
Now for what I don't like:
It's white (Now those of you that have a white car or seen one, know that no matter what they always show the dirt the best! (It also doesn't help that I have to park on the street so people splash muddy water all over it.))
It has command start (Good God, this stupid little device has done nothing but frustrate me! I think the reason for this hatered is because it kills my battery and leaves me stranded at work when everyone has gone home for the night! (Oh, and I forgot to mention that my parents were on vacation so I had no one to contact. Thank god, my grandma had my uncle's cell number.))
It's got so many electrical parts to it (Geez when this car is not working properly, believe me it will let you know, by bombarding you with a dashboard of icons and warning displays. (It's at this point you get out of it and nonchalantly walk aways as though nothing happened.))
Alright, so I think I have ranted and raved enough for one day, but just one more thing.
I was looking through some old pictures and I came across a horrible site, me when I was chubby and had short hair. Wow, the only thought that came to my mind was "Oh my good god, I look like some fat little boy!"
Now for your enjoyment: s153.photobucket.com/albums/s2… I have attached a current picture of me so you can see the difference.
If you have made it to the end of this journal, I salute you.
Have a wonderful day.
